Why this book?
Because adolescence is a difficult time
for teens or for parents. It is a pivotal phase in which a child prepares for his adult life and rediscovers his body. With half-naive, half-conscientious behavior, the adolescent tries somehow to determine himself emotionally and sexually. Parents then no longer have a benchmark to help their children grow up. The author addresses this period so complex and full of doubts in this novel

from her awareness of the act to the medical exams to prove it, as well as her slow rebuilding to regain her self-confidence.
