is the 14th typhoon Chantu heading north from the Philippines.

Although it is small with a radius of 240 km, strong winds of 190 km per hour and 53 meters per second are blowing from the center.

It is a small but very strong typhoon with a clear eye of the typhoon.

The Korea Meteorological Administration expects the typhoon to pass through Taiwan and then near Shanghai, China, on Tuesday next week.

After that, it was predicted that the route would be sharply changed to the east and moved to the southern sea of Jeju Island.

Japan and Europe have similar forecasts.

According to this route, due to rain clouds developing in front of the typhoon, it will rain from next Monday on Jeju Island, and it will be directly under the influence on Wednesday and stronger rain and wind will blow.

Because of the dry air in Korea, typhoons are not expected to make landfall, but instead, heavy rain may occur in the southern regions on Tuesday and Wednesday.

But there are still many variables.

Typhoons may weaken as they pass through mountainous Taiwan, which is 3,000 meters above sea level.

On the other hand, if a typhoon passes through the surrounding sea without landing in Taiwan, contrary to expectations, it may come closer to Korea while maintaining a strong force.

The impact of the typhoon on Korea is expected to become more pronounced the day after it passes through Taiwan (the 12th).
