If a school has completed two doses of the new crown vaccine and the ratio of teachers and students over 14 days has reached 70%, it can apply to resume full-time face-to-face classes.

  Yang Runxiong said that according to the latest statistics, as of September 3, an average of 92% of school staff in Hong Kong had received at least one dose of the new crown vaccine (those who have not yet been vaccinated must undergo regular virus testing); and for students 12 years of age or older, vaccinations The total rate is 51%.

  He revealed that so far, the Education Bureau has received 5 secondary schools, based on the vaccination rate of individual grade students (mainly Form 5 and Form 6 students) has reached more than 70%, and they have applied for full-time face-to-face classes.

After approval by the Education Bureau, it is expected that the first school will conduct full-time face-to-face classes in individual grades on September 13.
