A new study by scientists from Harvard University shows that the air quality in the office can significantly affect the cognitive abilities of employees, including their ability to focus.

"There is a lot of research on exposure to outdoor pollution, but we spend 90% of our time indoors," said Jose Guillermo Cedino Laurent, the lead author of the study, which was published yesterday in the scientific journal Environmental Research Letters.

Over the course of a year, Laurent and his colleagues followed 302 employees working in offices in six countries: China, India, Mexico, Thailand, the United States and Britain, until testing was stopped in March 2020 due to "Covid-19".

The sample of participants in the test consisted of employees between the ages of 18 and 65 years, who work at least three days a week from their offices, and they have a fixed place designated for them.
