  [Concurrent] Wei Tianlu

I cried when I watched TV, and cried when I watched the coffins of those comrades.

[Explanation] In June 1950, the Korean War broke out.

In October of that year, the Chinese People's Volunteers entered the Korean War one after another. Wei Tianlu became one of them and served as a health worker in the 579 regiment of the 193 division of the 65th Army.

[Explanation] In early February 1951, Wei Tianlu rushed across the Yalu River with the troops to the Korean battlefield.

  [Concurrent] Wei Tianlu

By the time of (North Korea) 5 (6) days, quite a lot of (warriors) were left behind. There were more than 100 people in the company who had kicked their feet, stomped on their stomachs, and were dissatisfied.

In the end, the instructor and company commander decided: Wei Tianlu, pick you out to take away those who fell behind.

It is absolutely impossible for you to throw away one person for me, and to throw away one person will be dealt with by military law.

Until the end, (I) received a minimum of 7 people, and a maximum of 13 people at a time. In more than 20 days, I did not lose a single person, and brought them all to the army.

[Explanation] In April of that year, Wei Tianlu followed a large army and participated in the battle to break through the Linjin River that he will never forget.

  [Concurrent] Wei Tianlu

Opposite us on the Linjin River is the 29th British Brigade. Landmines buried on the shore, electric wire nets pulled from the water, electric grids pulled from the water, and four planes above (in the sky) bombed with strafing.

The water of Linjin River is clear, and after some comrades (sacrifice), a red (color) blood is in the water.

Poor, I didn't dare to watch the TV (drama) of "Across the Yalu River".

  [Concurrent] Wei Tianlu

I said I won’t go back, I said I’m a hygienist, I don’t care if my arm is bent (but) it doesn’t hurt, one I can lift the wounded, and the other I can back the wounded. I am a rescuer and I will never go back. .

I don't want that third-class (level) handicapped, I want to go to North Korea, my comrades-in-arms are still in North Korea.

[Commentary] After returning to the Korean battlefield, Wei Tianlu once again served as a health worker in the 579 regiment.
