The first earthquake with a magnitude of 5 occurred at 21:13 (September 7 at 02:13 local time) in the Irkutsk region at a distance of about one and a half kilometers from the border with Tuva. 

In the Baikal branch of the Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences, tremors of 3 points were noted in the village of Alygdzher, Nizhneudinsky district of the Irkutsk region and the village of Orlik in the Okinsky district of the Republic of Buryatia.

Scientists recorded another earthquake of magnitude 3 in Tuva at 22:20 Moscow time (September 7 at 02:20 local time).

Earlier it was reported that seismologists recorded an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.2 in the west of Tuva. Information about casualties and destruction has not been reported.
