Non-Hong Kong residents living in Mainland China and Macau will arrive. Hong Kong can be exempted from compulsory quarantine for 14 days, with a daily quota of 2,000 people.

  On the same day, Carrie Lam met with the media at the headquarters of the SAR government before attending the executive meeting in Hong Kong.

When talking about personnel exchanges between Hong Kong, the Mainland and Macau, she revealed the above information.

  According to the current arrangements of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, people arriving from the Mainland must undergo mandatory home quarantine for 14 days. During the quarantine period, they must be on the 3rd, 7th and 12th day of arrival in Hong Kong, and upon arrival in Hong Kong after completing the quarantine. Compulsory testing was accepted on the 16th and 19th days.

If the relevant person has completed the vaccination, the compulsory quarantine period can be shortened to 7 days for compulsory quarantine at home, followed by 7 days for self-observation, but they must still undergo compulsory regular virus testing.

  Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor said that the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government had planned to launch an "Easy to Hong Kong" earlier, but it was temporarily postponed in view of the changes in the epidemic.

The plan will be officially launched on September 15, allowing non-Hong Kong residents from the Mainland and Macau to come to Hong Kong without compulsory quarantine. Shenzhen Bay Port and Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Port will each have a daily quota of 1,000 people. When relevant persons enter Hong Kong You must have a certificate of negative nucleic acid test for the new coronavirus and undergo regular virus testing after arriving in Hong Kong.

  In addition, Carrie Lam also mentioned that in view of the stable epidemic situation in the Mainland, the "Easy Return to Hong Kong" program will be fully resumed at 0:00 on September 8.

Those who return to Hong Kong through the "Easy Return to Hong Kong" program are also required to hold a negative certificate of the new coronavirus nucleic acid test and undergo regular virus testing.

The SAR government will continue to adjust the relevant arrangements in accordance with the updates of the epidemic situation in the Mainland.

  Carrie Lam pointed out that since the launch of "Easy Return to Hong Kong" in November 2020, none of the more than 200,000 people who returned to Hong Kong through the program has been diagnosed with new coronary pneumonia. I believe Hong Kong citizens can rest assured.
