Shizuoka Prefecture and others announced on the 6th that 135 people were confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus.
The cumulative number of confirmed infections in the prefecture is now 24,493.
Shizuoka Prefecture also announced the death of one hospitalized patient.
This brings the number of people who died in the prefecture to 186.
