This is the first time that the prefecture has paid a settlement for death during medical treatment.

According to Kanagawa Prefecture, a man in his 50s who died was confirmed to be infected in December last year and was being treated at a hotel prepared by the prefecture, but the resident nurses said that oxygen in the man's blood He didn't consult a doctor when the value dropped, and he didn't visit the room immediately even though he couldn't get in touch with his regular health observations, and found him lying down about four hours later.



In March, a third-party committee set up by the prefecture did not have a unified rule for when patients could not be contacted or their condition suddenly changed, so it was delayed to notice the change and soon. He pointed out that he could not be transported to the hospital.



In response to this, the prefecture acknowledged that the response was inadequate and apologized, and then agreed with the bereaved family to pay 5.75 million yen as a settlement.



This is the first time that the prefecture has paid a settlement for deaths during medical treatment, and we will propose related bills to the prefectural assembly, which will open on the 8th of this month.
