The decline continues.
The number of Covid-19 patients hospitalized and those in critical care saw a further decline on Sunday, according to figures published by Public Health France.
The number of hospitalized patients, which had fallen below the 11,000 mark on Thursday, fell again slightly, to 10,644 against 10,654 on Saturday, with 227 patients admitted in the last 24 hours (against 424 the day before).
On the side of critical care, which receives the most serious patients, the decline continues modestly: with 2,217 patients against 2,223 the day before, including 60 admitted in the last 24 hours.
A week earlier, these services welcomed 2,276 patients.
For ten days, the number of patients admitted to intensive care units has fluctuated between 2,200 and nearly 2,300.
Stable but low positivity rate
The number of cases detected in 24 hours was 10,410, against 13,336 the day before.
The positivity rate, which measures the proportion of positive cases in relation to the number of people tested, is stable at 2.5%.
In 24 hours, 49 people were swept away by the Covid, bringing the total death toll to 114,905 since the start of the epidemic.
On the vaccination front, 49,128,555 people have received at least one injection (i.e. 72.9% of the total population) and 45,455,314 people now have a complete vaccination schedule (i.e. 67.4% of the total population) .
