Filming has begun in Abu Dhabi for the Saudi comedy film “With Pleasure,” directed by Raed Al-Tamimi, and produced by Al-Ashmal Company.
The film targets a widespread social segment in our Arab world, whose members use social media as a source of information without making sure of its accuracy.
The director of the work, Raed Al-Tamimi, stressed the importance of the film, and the way in which its idea was presented, adding: "The work speaks in a light comic way about the suffering of a certain group of Arab society, which appeared recently, and spread very widely."
He explained that «this segment includes people who believe that any profession has become accessible through social media.
And they imagine that it is possible to learn everything through (YouTube) and other means of communication, and transfer information and apply it on the ground without any teacher.
Al-Tamimi continued: "We shed light on this segment through the character of a Saudi young man named (Surour), who enters the city and sees contradictions, so he tries to apply what he learned from (YouTube) on the ground, constantly implicating himself."
He continued: "The movie is a simple comic, carrying a beautiful idea that easily reaches everyone, and the directing tools are simply as simple as the comic idea... and the most important thing that distinguishes it is presenting an idea that has not been presented widely until now, and in a radically different way."
For his part, the Saudi actor, Tariq Al-Harbi, expressed his happiness to participate in the film.
He added: "The film tells the story of a village young man named (Surour), who moved to work in the city, and entered the whirlpool of life due to the change in everything around him.
He considered that the work is a wonderful experience, "and I expect the film to be admired by everyone, especially since it is a comic work, light and without pretension or manufacturing."
A group of Saudi stars participate in the work, including: Tariq Al-Harbi, Rima, Berivan Abdul Rahman, Muhammad Shaman, Bandar Khudair, Imran Al-Omran, Abdullah Qahtani, Fawzi Al-Mutaib, Nour Hussein, and from the Emirates, the artist and director Abdullah Al-Junaibi, and the artist Alaa Shaker.
