“I thought Robin hated me.

He used to make tons of jokes on set.

When I was 18, I found it incredibly irritating.

The intimidating intensity of youth

“There was this scene in the film when he spontaneously makes me improvise a poem in front of the class.

He makes this joke at the end, where he says he finds me intimidating.

I thought it was a joke.

But as I got older, I realized that there was something intimidating about the seriousness of youth, in its intensity, ”continued Ethan Hawke.

Robin Williams took his own life in 2014 at the age of 63 when he suffered from Parkinson's disease as well as Lewy body dementia, a rare neurodegenerative disease.
