Seismologists have recorded an earthquake of magnitude 4.8 in the west of the Tyva Republic. This is reported by TASS with reference to the Altai-Sayan branch of the Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
As noted, the epicenter of the earthquake was located near the Kara-Khol lake.
There is no information about the victims and destruction as a result of the tremor.
Earlier, an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.3 occurred in the north-east of Buryatia in the Muisky region.
