[Explanation] September 3 is the 76th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression.

On the same day, survivors of the "Chongqing Bombing" and relatives of the victims, as well as people from all walks of life gathered at the site of the "Chongqing Bombing" tragedy to mourn the victims' relatives and compatriots.

  [Explanation] During World War II, Chongqing, as the Far East command center of the World Anti-Fascist War and the wartime capital of the Nationalist Government, suffered 6 years and 10 months of strategic bombing by the Japanese army, known as the "Chongqing Bombing" in history.

According to statistics, the Chongqing bombing caused 32,829 direct casualties and 6,651 indirect casualties.

  Chen Guifang, 89 years old this year, was a survivor of the "Chongqing bombing". When the Japanese army bombed Chongqing, her parents and siblings were killed. She survived as an orphan.

Recalling the tragic scene 80 years ago, the old man Chen Guifang had tears in his eyes.

She said that the shadow and sequelae of the "Chongqing bombing" stayed with her for life. Her arm and forehead were injured by Japanese bombs, leaving scars, and shrapnel still remained in her head.

  I think that my parents have passed away, and I don’t have a brother or sister, and no one comes to help me.

At that time, I was very pitiful, I really didn't have anything to eat or wear.

If the house was blown up for you, it would be burned for you.

  [Explanation] Jian Quanbi, a survivor of the "Chongqing bombing", is 83 years old this year. On June 5, 1941, a Japanese aircraft carried out a fatigue bombing of Chongqing. Her grandmother carried her to the air-raid shelter to avoid air raids.

Walking on the way, the Japanese plane dropped a bomb. Jian Quanbi's grandmother was hit by shrapnel and died on the spot, but she survived after she was wounded in her grandmother's arms.

  Every night, as long as I think about it, it was the night before. I didn't fall asleep all night, thinking about all the injuries I had suffered as a child in the past, and my family was destroyed.

  [Explanation] Every year on the anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, survivors and relatives of the victims of the "Chongqing Bombing", including Chen Guifang and Jian Quanbi, come to the site of the "Chongqing Bombing" tragedy to mourn the bombing. The relatives and compatriots who were killed.
