At noon, the 57-year-old son Zhang Ren ran back home, fetching water, cutting vegetables, boiling water, and underneath. He was simple and haggard like a young man.
In his twenties, Zhang Ren's father died of illness. Within a few years, his mother suffered from rheumatoid arthritis due to overwork and was paralyzed in bed.
From then on, Zhang Ren began to take care of his mother, and it has been 24 years.
Uneasy about going out to work, Zhang Ren carried his mother to rent near the work site for easy care.
