A video conference on the delivery ceremony of the Chinese government's aid to Myanmar for the new crown vaccine and anti-epidemic supplies was held on the 3rd. The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Agency for International Development Cooperation, the Yunnan Provincial Government and the relevant municipal governments, the embassy in Myanmar, and the consulate general in Mandalay, The Myanmar Ministry of Health, the Myanmar Consulate General in Kunming, and the ASEAN Secretariat sent representatives to attend the ceremony.
After the ceremony, the Chinese government assisted Myanmar to send vaccines and anti-epidemic materials from the land ports in Dehong Prefecture, Lincang City, Baoshan City, Nujiang Prefecture, Xishuangbanna Prefecture and Pu'er City to the border areas of Myanmar in batches.
The vaccine to Myanmar this time is the China Bio-New Crown Inactivated Vaccine produced by Sinopharm Group. The aid materials include ventilators, oxygen generators, new crown antigen detection kits, medical protective masks, and medical protective clothing.
The Minister of Health of Myanmar Dai Kaiwin expressed his gratitude to the Chinese government and Yunnan Province for their deep friendship with the people of Myanmar, and believes that with the help of China, Myanmar will surely be able to overcome the epidemic.
