[Explanation] Recently, as a representative inheritor of intangible cultural heritage carving techniques, Huang Shuli completed his latest work "Lighting Up Hope and Passing Dreams", which uses an olive nucleus as raw material and the theme of the National Games torch. It took a week to create a miniature nuclear sculpture with a length of 4.5 cm and a width of 1.5 cm holding the torch of the National Games.

This work is created using olive nuclei. It is carved with athletes holding a torch to pass the relay. The thumbs up above represents the meaning of surpassing oneself and being brave to compete. The burning flame represents the 14th National Games. I cleverly designed the word "14" for it, and then the emblem of the 14th National Games is engraved on this torch. The whole shape has a modern realistic sculpture style.

[Explanation] Huang Shuli, 43 years old this year, was born in a family of woodworkers. He has been engaged in carving skills since his ancestors. Now he has inherited this technique and has become a professional nuclear carving craftsman.

In normal times, in addition to nuclear sculpture creation, he also likes sports very much. Table tennis and badminton are his strong points.

The 14th National Games is about to be held in Shaanxi, and he has the idea of using his skills to create nuclear sculptures for the 14th National Games.

According to reports, the olive nucleus used for creation is the product left over after the olive oil is pressed. Through the "waste utilization" of the olive nucleus, it can be "reborn".

Huang Shuli said that the creation of a nuclear torch requires steps of design, material selection, embryo making, finishing, and polishing. At the same time, three different techniques of relief, round and hollow carving are used in the carving technique.

The biggest difficulty is that it uses the round carving technique. The round carving technique must take into account the thickness of the nucleus. Because the inside of the olive pit is hollow, we can't omit it when creating it. If we say that the knife is too strong, then (Yes) If you miss it, then the whole work will fail, so this is the biggest difficulty.

[Explanation] Like many intangible cultural heritage projects, nuclear carving techniques also face problems such as development difficulties.

Huang Shuli said that with the rise of mechanical processing, the time cost and income of traditional craftsmen have gradually become disproportionate to the time cost and income of traditional craftsmen.

He expressed that he hopes to combine more inspirations in life to create works that are "down-to-earth", so that people can pay attention to this traditional technique.

The National Games is about to be held, and I will continue to pay attention to this event, and then I will also create some nuclear sculptures based on the wonderful moments of that game to help the National Games.

(At the same time) As an inheritor of the intangible nuclear carving technique, I want to better inherit and carry forward this traditional technique, so that more people can understand and approach nuclear carving.
