Easy winner of Malawi this Friday (2-0), Cameroon took the lead of group D of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers in Africa.

In Group G, Ghana could count on an error by the Ethiopian goalkeeper to win (1-0).

Tunisia took its time before clearly beating Equatorial Guinea in Group B (3-0).

After the draw between Mozambique and Côte d'Ivoire earlier this Friday, September 3 (0-0), Cameroon had the opportunity to take first place in Group D, for its entry into the running in the qualifications for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

And the coach Toni Conceïçao and his men did not tremble in the face of modest Malawi in Yaoundé.

The Indomitable Lions folded the meeting in the first period.

Vincent Aboubakar's powerful chest-strike control sequence put Cameroon into orbit very quickly (9th).

Then, on a corner kicked by Nicolas Mounmi Ngamaleu, Michael Ngadeu-Ngadjui unfolded his 1.90 meter and took the ball with his head to make the break (23rd).

Dominators, the Cameroonians could have added further, but the Malawians did not give in.

Ghana thanks hapless Ethiopian goalkeeper

Like Cameroon, Ghana had the opportunity to settle alone at the top of Group G after the goalless draw between Zimbabwe and South Africa earlier.

And like Cameroon, the Black Stars - in white this Friday at Cape Coat - took advantage of it.

But they were less prolific and may have benefited from a stroke of luck ... or bad luck, if one is in Ethiopia's camp.

The only goal of the game was scored by Mubarak Wakaso.

The strong midfielder, who wears the jersey of Shenzhen in China, cleared the situation with a long shot fired in the 35th minute.

But it was especially the big hand fault of Teklemariam Shanko, the Ethiopian goalkeeper, which allowed Ghana to open the scoring.

The porter had the mask on after his fatal mistake.

Perhaps injured, or at least psychologically affected, Shanko was replaced at the break by Fasil Gebremichael.

The Ethiopians tried to resurface against a non-sovereign Ghana, but they did not have the weapons for it.

Tunisia sinks Equatorial Guinea

Tunisia joined Zambia at the top of Group B and even passed it thanks to a disheveled end to the match against Equatorial Guinea.

Everything settled down after the break in Radès.

After a first padlocked act, the Carthage Eagles forced the Equatorial Guinean lock thanks to a header from Dylan Bronn, on which goalkeeper Jesus Owono missed (54th).

Faulty on this goal, the doorman held the house before sinking with it in the last quarter of an hour.

Ellyes Skhiri doubled the bet with a superb long shot (78th).

The Tunisians, released, extinguished the little suspense that remained in the wake, when the referee awarded them a penalty that the captain, Wahbi Khazri, converted a goal with coolness (83rd).

Tunisia successfully entered these qualifiers and can prepare for their match against Zambia on September 7 with serenity.
