While the medical system is still in crisis due to the rapid spread of infection, Chiba Prefecture has decided to open a new "hospitalization waiting station" to temporarily wait when the destination of the patient is not decided. ..

In Chiba prefecture, the usage rate of dedicated beds for the severely ill was 77.8% as of one day, and the number of home caregivers was about 10,700, which is a critical situation, and the symptoms of home caregivers worsened. In many cases, it takes time to find an acceptable medical institution.

In response to this situation, Chiba Prefecture has decided to open a new "hospitalization waiting station" where patients who cannot find a hospitalization destination can temporarily wait and receive treatment.

It is mainly intended for reception at night when it is difficult to find a place to accept even if you call an ambulance, and doctors and nurses will be stationed to perform not only oxygen inhalation but also emergency treatment such as intravenous drip.

We are preparing to install two locations in areas with a large number of infected people, one of which will soon be operational.

Chiba Prefecture says, "We would like to strengthen the support of home caregivers and create a system that allows the necessary people to be hospitalized after quickly detecting changes in the patient's symptoms."
