In terms of strengthening the management of port passages, the railway department implemented the capacity expansion and renovation projects of Alashankou, Horgos, Erlian, Manzhouli and other port stations, which effectively improved the inbound and outbound passage capacity of China-Europe trains.
From January to August this year, 5125 columns, 1766 columns, and 3139 columns were opened in the West, Middle, and East Corridor, respectively, representing a year-on-year increase of 37%, 15%, and 35% respectively.
Currently, the China-Europe Express has laid out 73 operating routes, reaching more than 170 cities in 23 European countries, and transporting more than 50,000 kinds of goods.
In addition, international cooperation in the transportation of anti-epidemic materials has been included in the key guarantee scope of China-Europe freight trains. Priority carrier, priority loading, and priority hanging transportation are implemented to achieve fast shipment and shipment as needed.
Since the outbreak of the epidemic, a total of 12.8 million pieces of anti-epidemic materials and 99,000 tons have been shipped to European countries, making positive contributions to international anti-epidemic cooperation.
