When Shimabara Railway in Nagasaki Prefecture, which has been in a difficult business situation due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection, sold an assortment of agricultural products named "deficit grain vegetable set", orders from outside the prefecture are gaining popularity one after another. increase.

Due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection, Shimabara Railway's annual sales of the railway business have decreased by about 40% compared to before the spread of the infection, and the difficult business situation continues.

Under these circumstances, we took advantage of the deficit management and started selling an assortment of agricultural products called "deficit grain vegetable set" in June.

This initiative was made possible with the cooperation of a local fruit and vegetable retailer, and the set includes 1 kg of rice from the Shimabara Peninsula, as well as seasonal vegetables carefully selected by vegetable sommeliers such as cucumbers and eggplants.

In order to deliver fresh vegetables, we harvest them just before shipping and pack and ship the products every Thursday.

For two days, the vendor was doing the boxing work while checking the quality of the vegetables.

The price is 2000 yen, and about 70% of the 120 sets ordered so far are from outside the prefecture.

Mr. Taiki Shimada of Shimabara Railway said, "I want you to know that there are many delicious vegetables in Shimabara, and when the spread of corona infection subsides, I want you to ride on Shimabara Railway."
