Nara Prefecture and Nara City announced on the 1st that it was confirmed that 216 new people were infected with the new coronavirus in the prefecture.
It was the third highest number of new infections confirmed per day and the highest ever on Wednesday.
With this, the total number of people confirmed to be infected in the prefecture is 13,373.
On the other hand, there were no announcements of people who died of infection.
