All venues of the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games will be lowered at half-mast on August 30, local time, to pay tribute to the former International Olympic Committee President Rogge who has just passed away.
Parsons, President of the International Paralympic Committee, said: "Without Rogge's support, the International Paralympic Committee could not have achieved what it is today. We will always thank him for his help." Rogge has strongly supported the Beijing Olympics and Paralympics. The meeting was held and praised it as "unparalleled."
