Steny sells drugs in a nursing home in Australia

An Australian man has been charged with selling drugs from his suburban Sydney nursing home, police and media have revealed.

Police arrested him Thursday after marijuana and methamphetamine were found in his car.

During a search of the nursing home where he lives in suburban Sydney, police found LSD, cannabis and a bat, according to the police statement. An investigation into these drug trafficking operations began in June.

Sydney's Daily Telegraph reported that an investigation had been opened after nursing home residents complained about the 62-year-old's suspicious behavior and people visiting him.

The newspaper revealed that the man was selling drugs from the nursing home, a piece of information that the police confirmed to AFP.

He was charged with possession and trafficking of illegal drugs, possession of a weapon without a license, and violating health regulations adopted to combat the spread of COVID-19.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the court on the eighth of September.
