The Gulf Cooperation Council countries are planning day and night for development, human building, and a comprehensive renaissance. On the other hand, there are those who plan day and night for hegemony and igniting the region, feeding sectarianism, and destroying all civilizational achievements, in order to spoil security and turn stability in the region into unrest. Because of a sin we have committed, but rather because of grudges, hatred, and deep-seated hatred that neither the long years nor the global human civilization have succeeded in extinguishing!

Today, all of us in the GCC countries are in one boat, in the same choppy sea, facing a common destiny, difficult challenges, and one danger, and none of us has any preference over another, and no country is immune from others, and far from any future danger. This is our inevitable destiny, and therefore We have to face all future challenges with one heart, one thought, and one opinion. Our separation makes them happy, and our differences facilitate their task. Our weakness is their strength. Our word, discarding all differences, and agreeing on how to face the challenges of the future.

What happened in Afghanistan requires us to raise all indications of caution. The clear lesson in that scene is that the United States cannot be relied upon as a strategic ally. For it, we are not a priority, and what happened there in Kabul, may be repeated in other countries close to us, and its fall in this way. It may make the region more inflamed, and undoubtedly lead to the arrival of danger at our nearest doors. Should we wait for the worst, or move to develop new plans and strategies, and stick to our important strategic choice, which is the choice of interdependence and cohesion and strengthening joint action?

What Afghanistan is witnessing, and what Iraq may witness in the future, must be an incentive for the leaders of the countries of the region to abandon their unilateral view, adhere to the unity of the ranks, and try to prevent slipping into a future that all parties will be unable to control the course of its events, and this will not happen unless an agreement is reached on A collective strategy to confront any emerging events that may occur in the foreseeable future, and this strategy must be realistic, benefiting from the capabilities of the countries of the region together, and applicable, and not based on the illusions of alliance with external parties, which have proved in practice to be powerless when it is necessary to move to confront dangers, and opportunism does not It only takes into account its interests all the time, which were never identical with the interests of the countries of the region!
