"In connection with the forecast of a special fire hazard due to stable dry weather, a possible threat to settlements and economic facilities ... the special fire regime has been extended until September 15," the press service reports.
Earlier it was reported that there are 11 fires in the Irkutsk region on an area of 35,932 hectares.
The head of Yakutia, Aisen Nikolaev, said that an interregional emergency regime was introduced in the Irkutsk region.
