On August 27, a 50-year-old passenger fainted in a subway train. He was unconscious and breathless. The well-intentioned passengers, staff, train driver and station personnel in the car fainted in an emergency linkage with the help of the AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) in the station. Successfully rescued passengers.

The reporter learned that after the patient passenger Mr. Lin was hospitalized for treatment and observation, he was in good physical condition and was discharged from the hospital that night to go home to recuperate.

It is understood that in July of this year, the Wuhan Municipal Health Commission and Wuhan Metro jointly launched automatic external defibrillator (AED) equipment for rail transit stations.

Up to now, the installation of 215 AED equipment in 215 rail transit stations has been completed, and the full coverage of 240 stations on the line network will be achieved by the end of September.

This successful rescue is the first time that the Wuhan Metro has been put into use since the AED was installed.
