Direct Last minute of the coronavirus in Spain
The
incidence
of the coronavirus in Spain
continues to decline
.
This Friday it stands at
264.13 cases per 100,000 inhabitants,
after dropping 12 points in the last 24 hours.
And, although there has been a slight increase in the
number of infections (9,489 new ones),
the figure is still much lower than a week ago (12,450).
Despite the fact that young people continue to concentrate the majority of infections, Health has confirmed new drops in its AI indicators.
The age group most affected,
between 12 and 19 years old,
stands at
538.46
cases per 100,000 inhabitants, decreasing 32 points since Thursday.
The indicator for those
between 20 and 19 years old,
the second worst placed, also falls to
414.99
after falling 33.
The regions most affected by the coronavirus continue to be Ceuta, with an AI of 577.18; Extremadura (488.45), Melilla (440.99) and La Rioja (349.16).
Asturias (110.23), Canarias (172.48) and Comunidad Valenciana (211.28) are those with the lowest incidence.
Hospital occupation continues to decline
Hospital pressure also decreases. 6.15%
of hospital beds are occupied by
7,206 Covid patients
(yesterday the occupancy was 6.29%), and the percentage reaches
18.37% in the case of Intensive Care Units (ICU) ,
after a slight drop in the last 24 hours (yesterday it was 18.54%).
Catalan ICUs continue to be the most committed, with 36.41% occupancy.
Lower
are those of
Madrid (32.45%), Melilla (29.41%) and Aragon (22.07%).
On the contrary, Murcia (6.91%), Asturias (7.38%) and Galicia (8.28%) are the autonomous regions that maintain a lower occupancy in ICU.
It must be remembered that these percentages only contemplate patients admitted for coronavirus.
To calculate the real occupation, we must add those found there due to other pathologies and surgeries.
Mortality drops but 84,000 official deaths are reached
All these decreases have not, however, prevented Spain from reaching 84,000 official deaths from coronavirus this Friday, after a day with
139 new deaths.
Mortality figures therefore remain very high.
In Europe, the United Kingdom continues to lead in incidence (674.0),
followed by Ireland (512.3) and France (438.8).
The most comfortable countries on the continent are, once again, Poland (7.1), the Czech Republic (25.2) and Romania (36.6).
