[Explanation] On the night of August 27, the employees of Guangxi Liuzhou Locomotive and Rolling Stock Co., Ltd. were performing night shift production.

In the first half of 2021, Guangxi's economy continued to recover, coupled with the continued high summer temperature, the demand for electricity in the whole society increased rapidly, and the power supply guarantee situation was extremely severe.

In order to ensure electricity consumption for the people's livelihood, government departments have issued policies to limit the electricity consumption of industrial enterprises and implement orderly electricity use arrangements for enterprises.

[Explanation] Liuzhou Locomotive and Rolling Stock Co., Ltd. is the largest train maintenance base in southwest China. Locomotives and vehicles are sent here for overhaul from all parts of China.

In order to ensure the production progress, the company set up night production shifts for some of the high power consumption production processes, making full use of the electricity quota during the low period.

If the entire factory uses electricity normally, (total power) will be about 8,000 kilowatts, and now it is basically reduced to half, down to 4,000 kilowatts.

After that, the factory is assigned to each unit uniformly. Our workshop factory arranges to use electricity for us at noon and night, and does not arrange high-power electricity at other times.

[Explanation] Hydropower was once the pillar of Guangxi Electric Power.

However, due to the high temperature and low rainfall that began in July, Guangxi's hydroelectric power generation can only reach 60% to 70% in previous years, and the power generation of thermal power and wind power is not as expected.

In order to ensure production under power shortages, many manufacturers flexibly adjust their processes and use low-power electrical appliances to prepare materials during power-cut periods to ensure efficient production when high-power equipment is turned on.

Normally, we don’t use high-power electrical appliances. We can only use low-power during working hours, such as electric drills. If we turn on high-power electrical appliances at noon, all other (equipment) must be stopped. , Is to seize the time to ensure production and output.

[Explanation] In order to free up power for the industrial sector, Guangxi recently issued a power-saving notice, requiring the office premises to stop using elevators on floors below the 4th floor, and the air-conditioning temperature should not be lower than 26 degrees Celsius. It is recommended that industrial and commercial users shut down the air-conditioning half an hour before closing business. Encourage households to turn off the lights as much as possible and use fans to cool down as much as possible.

After many efforts, the electricity consumption situation in Guangxi has eased.

Liuzhou Locomotive and Rolling Stock Co., Ltd.’s electricity quota has been increased from 2000 kilowatts at the time of the most shortage to 4500 kilowatts today, and the production order has been maintained.

Previously, our daily output was about 4 cars. Now, despite the power cut, we still complete the production according to the task of 4 cars a day, which has not affected our production tasks.

[Explanation] While calling for electricity saving, Guangxi also requires all electricity users to appoint special personnel to strengthen inspections and correct electricity waste in a timely manner.

Units and individuals who violate the regulations on power conservation shall be notified and criticized, and the power supply department shall stop power supply in accordance with regulations on the units that are ordered not to change.
