Since the Taliban's return to power in Afghanistan on August 15, women have remained confined to their homes for fear of violence.
Those who can flee the country leave in traumatic conditions.

Some human rights defenders, journalists or artists have benefited from the airlifts set up by some Western embassies.
France, for example, evacuated 2,500 people from Afghanistan, expatriates, but also Afghans, especially women.
But, the vast majority of the women left behind live in fear of the Taliban.
