The person who was re-arrested was Yusuke Sakuma (36), an unemployed person in Tama Ward, Kawasaki City.



On the 6th of this month, 10 male and female passengers were seriously injured in the train on the Odakyu Line, which was running in Setagaya Ward, Tokyo, when they were cut with a knife.



Of these, Suspect Sakuma was arrested on the 7th of this month for slashing a female college student in his twenties, but a subsequent investigation by the Metropolitan Police Department revealed that he was slashing passengers one after another while moving in the train. On the 27th, he was re-arrested on suspicion of attempted murder of another woman in her 50s.



The woman was stabbed in two places on her flank and was injured for two weeks.
