A 5.5-magnitude earthquake occurred in Aksai Kazakh Autonomous County of Jiuquan City, Gansu Province on the 26th, and a slight earthquake was felt in the county town.

According to preliminary local official statistics, the epicenter of the earthquake was located in a sparsely populated area at high altitude. Although the earthquake was felt strongly, there were no casualties. Some hills had a small amount of soil and landslides, and some sheep sheds collapsed.

  After the earthquake occurred that day, the Aksai County emergency rescue team rushed to the Greater Hartenkirchkirgand region (95.50 longitude, 38.88 latitude), 3850 meters above sea level, which is 215 kilometers from the county seat, the epicenter of the earthquake.

  According to on-site inspection, there were 3 herdsmen’s sheep houses stationed in the epicenter. Because it is a herdsmen’s spring pasture, there are currently no one inhabited and the houses are intact. A small part of the herdsmen’s sheepfold collapsed; Hill, a small amount of soil landslides were found on some hills along the way, and roads and bridges were unblocked.

According to the staff of the Great Harteng River Hydrological Monitoring Station and surrounding construction personnel, the earthquake was felt strongly at the time, but fortunately there were no casualties.

  The epicenter was located in the area of ​​Aleteng Township in Aksai County and Yanchiwan Township in Subei County. The quake area was sparsely populated.
