Saló, Extremoduro's older brother, dies
Former Extremoduro bassist Carlos Jiménez González, known as "Carlos el Sucio", died last Sunday, August 22, as confirmed by the Extremoduro rock band through social networks.
"His memory and his music will always be with us,"
adds the brief statement that is also published on the official website of the group led by Robe Iniesta.
Jiménez was part of Extremoduro between 1990 and 1993, the time when the band recorded the albums
We are some animals
and
Deltoya.
When he joined the group, Jiménez replaced Gonzalo Muñoz Hinojal
,
Saló, the founding bassist of Extremoduro, who also
passed away this summer
.
The death coincides with the announcement by Roberto Iniesta, vocalist of Extremoduro, who yesterday announced that the band's farewell tour, postponed in 2020 due to the pandemic, has been
unilaterally canceled
by the promoter of the concerts, Live Nation.
The decision will oblige those who, after the undated postponements, still keep the tickets to return the amount of the tickets.
