After an argument in the north of Kassel, a group of five is said to have threatened two men with an ax before the victims jumped out of the window of a house.

The 26-year-old broke both arms in the fall from the second floor and was seriously injured in a hospital, the police announced.

The 22-year-old was slightly injured on Wednesday night.

The two therefore knew the five suspects.

The police are also investigating whether the dispute could have been about drugs.

When the five men threatened the others with an ax in the course of the dispute, the attacked first fled to an empty apartment and finally jumped out of the window.

The police, who moved in with several patrols, arrested the five suspects.

The 16, 17, 26 and 31-year-old men are being investigated not only on suspicion of dangerous bodily harm and threats but also on suspicion of illegal entry and residence.

In addition, drugs were found in two of the suspects.

One of the men was also wanted with two arrest warrants, the police said.
