On August 23, a heavy rain suddenly struck, flooding occurred in many villages in Liangping District, Chongqing, houses and roads were flooded, low-lying areas had become "small reservoirs" and people were trapped.
After receiving the police, the Liangping Fire Rescue Detachment rushed out and went to the disaster site for rescue.
When rescuers arrived at the scene, they found that most of the trapped persons were elderly people. Fire commanders carried them on their backs and wade through the water to move to a safe area.
During the transfer, the commanders paid careful attention to the underwater situation while comforting the old man with his back on his back.
Currently, Liangping Fire Rescue Detachment has transferred more than 20 people trapped.
