The famous Hollywood star, Anthony Hopkins, has stated that he has reached a "very satisfying and peaceful point" in life.

"I used to think I knew everything better, now I realize I know nothing," the 83-year-old British actor told the German newspaper Augsburger Allgemeine.

This gives me inner peace.”

Hopkins added: "I realize that I am mortal... one day it will all be over... but I hope I have many years to come.

My work keeps me alive.

I love life and enjoy every day,” he said, adding that “this is also the case during lockdown.”

He continued, "I made an effort to benefit from it to the fullest... I played the piano, read and drew."

The Hopkins movie "The Father" is scheduled to be shown in cinemas in Germany from tomorrow.

Hopkins won the Academy Award for Best Actor for his role in this film last April.
