As elsewhere in France, the number of people is not waning, quite the contrary, in the 173 screening points in Pays-de-la-Loire.

So much so that the authorities are worried.

This Monday, in a joint press release, the regional health agency and the prefecture warn of a "risk of saturation of the screening offer and the need to use it wisely."

It must be said the number of tests has reached an unmatched level since the start of the crisis.

According to figures from the ARS, "nearly 250,000 tests (PCR and antigens) were carried out last week in Pays-de-la-Loire, against 96,066 tests carried out the week of July 5 to 10".

An increase of 260% explained by the fourth wave but above all by "the extension of the health pass which leads to a sharp increase in test requests for a reason" "activity" ", estimates the ARS.

Self-test barnums

While demand should not weaken from laboratories, doctors or pharmacies, the ARS announces that certain patients (with a medical prescription, symptoms, etc.) will be received as a priority.

At the same time, a new device is being prepared in the region: these are self-test barnums which will be supervised by a health professional.

"This offer will however be limited, hence the need to be vaccinated as soon as possible", specifies the Regional Health Agency, which does not give further details for the moment.
