As of 20 o'clock on August 22, the flood disaster caused 68,640 people in the city to be affected. 4,574 people were evacuated to avoid danger, and 3,705 people were evacuated and resettled.

  It is understood that scattered short-term rainstorms occurred in Ankang City on the night of August 19, mainly concentrated in southern Ningshan, northern Shiquan, most of Ziyang, most of Xunyang, most of Baihe, and middle of Zhenping.

From the afternoon of the 21st to the early morning of the 22nd, severe convective weather occurred again in the city, including heavy rains in parts of Ningshan, Shiquan, Hanyin, Hanbin, and Xunyang, accompanied by thunder and lightning activities.

  Affected by heavy rainfall, 87 town offices in 9 counties and districts of Ankang (Hanbin, Hanyin, Shiquan, Ningshan, Ziyang, Langao, Pingli, Xunyang, Baihe) experienced flood disasters to varying degrees, including potatoes, corn, flue-cured tobacco, etc. Crops are damaged, river banks, bridges, roads and other infrastructure are damaged.

  As of 20 o'clock on August 22, the flood disaster caused 68,640 people in Ankang City, 4574 people were evacuated and 3705 people were relocated.

1,780 hectares of crops were damaged, 524 hectares of non-harvest crops, direct economic losses of 341 million yuan, of which agricultural economic losses were 30.93 million yuan, and infrastructure losses were 252.69 million yuan.

According to preliminary statistics, 45,681 meters of river embankments, 4 communication base stations and 27 bridges were damaged.

  After the disaster, the city and county levels attached great importance to it and required relevant township officials to immediately go to the village to carry out disaster prevention, mitigation and relief work.

The Municipal Emergency Management Bureau issued 162 Tiantong satellite telephones in a timely manner, and sent 10 working groups to various counties and districts for supervision and inspection.

At present, various disaster relief work is proceeding in an orderly manner, and the specific disaster situation is under further statistical verification.
