Due to the spread of the new coronavirus, the large-scale outdoor music event "Inazuma Rock Fes" scheduled to be held in Kusatsu City, Shiga Prefecture on September 18th and 19th has been cancelled.
"Inazuma Rock Fes" is a popular outdoor music event sponsored by Takanori Nishikawa, a musician from Shiga Prefecture, held every September in Kusatsu City, Shiga Prefecture, with more than 100,000 people from inside and outside the prefecture participating.
This year was scheduled to be held on September 18th and 19th after thorough infection control measures such as avoiding crowding of spectators and prohibiting the provision and bringing in of alcohol, but the rapid progress of the new coronavirus. Due to the spread of the infection, it was decided to cancel the event in consultation with the prefecture and local governments.
Regarding the cancellation of the event, Mr. Nishikawa said, "This festival is an event that we have created together with the locals, and we can enjoy it while ensuring the safety and security of the locals. Unfortunately, we decided to cancel the event. I don't think so. "
"Inazuma Rock Fes" was held online last year due to the spread of the new coronavirus.
