Typhoon No. 12 is expected to come closest to the Maejima Islands in Okinawa Prefecture in the early afternoon.

According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, Typhoon No. 12 is heading northward over the sea southeast of Miyakojima in Okinawa Prefecture.



The central pressure is 998 hectopascals, the maximum wind speed near the center is 25 meters, and the maximum instantaneous wind speed is 35 meters.



With the approach of the typhoon, it is expected that a very strong wind will blow and the waves will rise in the Maejima Islands.
