Two people died in the worst fire that France has experienced this year in the Var hinterland.
On Wednesday, two charred bodies were found in a house hit by flames, in the town of Grimaud (Var), in the heart of the Massif des Maures.
If the prosecutor of Draguignan, Patrice Camberou, assures that it will take "several days" to officially identify these bodies, the identity of the victims does not really leave any doubt.

The second victim, Virginie, is a 32-year-old Parisian tourist who has been missing since Monday evening, while she was staying in the Var. A “very very strongly plausible” hypothesis, admitted Patrice Camberou. A young woman close to the disappeared confirmed on Facebook, Wednesday evening, the death of her friend. This death was also confirmed by his brother, in a post titled “farewell little sister” in which he wrote: “Your train stops here, in the middle of a forest with a view of the sea, in the mountains of the Var. "
BFMTV reports that Monday evening, when the fire broke out, the young woman tried to flee by road, before taking refuge in Olivier's house.
The last contact with his relatives dates back to midnight.
The van of his catering company was found at the scene of the tragedy, the media said.
On Facebook, the Gif-sur-Yvette gym, of which she was part, published a message in which he described her as a "rigorous, hard-working, dynamic and dedicated person".
