In the early morning of August 20th, before the Mid-Yuan Festival, the people who bought and sold ducks continued to complete the transaction amidst the cries of tens of thousands of ducks in the Haijixing poultry trading zone in Liuzhou, Guangxi.
The Zhongyuan Festival is also commonly known as the "Ghost Festival" by the people of Guangxi. Because the local people have the custom of eating ducks, the duck market is very popular.
Liuzhou Haijixing sold more than 200,000 ducks during the festival, which was two to three times as many as usual.
