According to news on August 19, 3 years of continuous monitoring data showed that the research team of the National Astronomical Observatory of the Chinese Academy of Sciences selected the site at the 4200-meter elevation point (Zaishiten C) in the Saishiten mountain area of Lenghu Lake, Qinghai. It can be compared with the world-class large-scale observatory through comprehensive measurement of temperature, infrared observation and the number of clear nights, background brightness of clear nights, and weather.
