[Explanation] On August 19, the reporter learned from the Purple Mountain Observatory of the Chinese Academy of Sciences that the night sky will show the "five stars" astronomical phenomenon of gold, wood, water, fire, and earth.

[Explanation] Wang Kechao, head of science popularization at the Purple Mountain Observatory of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, introduced that on the evening of August 19, the five planets of gold, wood, water, fire, and earth were far apart, and the easternmost Jupiter and the westernmost Mars had a difference of 164 Spend.

The so-called "Five Stars Link" or "Five Stars Convergence", in fact, there is no quantitative definition in ancient literature. Generally, scholars believe that the distance between them should be less than Jingsu's ecliptic breadth, which is 33 degrees, or the conditions are relaxed to 50 to 50. At 60 degrees, it can be called "Five Stars Link" or "Five Stars Convergence", and if their distance exceeds this angle, they can only be called "Five Stars Convergence".

[Explanation] Wang Kechao stated to reporters that "water and fire are compatible".

In fact, it refers to the conjunct Mercury and Mars. When their right ascension is the same, it is called "conjunction". When they conjunct this time, their distance is less than 0.1 degree, which is difficult to distinguish with the naked eye.

In the telescope, the two planets can appear in the field of view at the same time.

[Explanation] Actually, five planets appearing on the same side of the sun is a common natural phenomenon.

[Concurrent] Wang Kechao, Head of Science Popularization, Purple Mountain Observatory, Chinese Academy of Sciences

All five planets orbit the sun in their own orbits, and their orbital periods are different, so there will be a phenomenon of planets gathering or separating. This is a normal phenomenon.

It will not have any impact on the earth, and it has nothing to do with natural disasters and human misfortune.

[Explanation] Although you cannot see "Five Stars Link", astronomers can observe Venus, Jupiter and Saturn.

On August 20, Jupiter’s opposition will shine in the night sky, and it will be a good time to observe this giant planet.
