Shizuoka Prefecture and others announced on the 19th that it was confirmed that 677 people, the largest number ever, were infected with the new coronavirus.
The cumulative number of confirmed infections in the prefecture is now 16,279.
Shizuoka Prefecture also announced the death of one patient.
The number of people who died in the prefecture is 160.
