Afghanistan is one of the poorest countries in the world.

Under foreign infusion for 20 years, its basement is full of minerals deemed critical for the energy and climate transition.

A windfall not exploited to date.

It is now in the hands of the Taliban regime, which mainly derives its income from criminal activities.

Following the capture of the country by the Islamists, the economic outlook darkens.
