While the medical system in the metropolitan area of the new corona virus was in a critical situation, a pregnant woman undergoing medical treatment at home called an ambulance due to bleeding, but she could not find a place to accept it, and she gave birth at home and her baby died. I learned from the interviews with the people concerned.

A group of obstetricians and gynecologists held an urgent meeting to confirm that they would be accepted in advance in case of a sudden birth of an infected pregnant woman.

Pregnant women infected with the new corona need to be prepared for a Caesarean section in order to shorten the operation time as an infection control measure, and it is necessary to immediately isolate the newborn baby, so the number of hospitals that can handle it is limited. In some cases, it takes time to adjust hospitalization.

Under these circumstances, according to the people concerned, on the evening of the 17th, a woman in her 30s, who was 8 months pregnant and was receiving medical treatment at home in Chiba prefecture, called an ambulance because of bleeding.

I contacted my obstetrician and gynecologist and made hospitalization adjustments at emergency personnel and health centers, but I could not find a medical institution that could handle it.

A few hours later, he gave birth at home, and the baby needed urgent treatment due to premature birth and was taken to the hospital, but he died.

The woman had no illness in her life.

For this reason, a group of obstetricians and gynecologists in Chiba Prefecture held an urgent online meeting to confirm that they should decide in advance where to accept them in preparation for the sudden birth of an infected pregnant woman.
