For nearly a month, the curve of hospitalizations linked to Covid-19 has continued to rise.

This Wednesday, the number of critical care hospitalizations exceeded the 2,000 patient threshold and 112 patients died in French hospitals.

The number of hospitalizations in critical care has exceeded the threshold of 2,000 patients, continuing the progression started since the end of July, according to data published Wednesday by Public Health France. 

1036 patients hospitalized in 24 hours

With 299 people hospitalized in the past 24 hours, critical care welcomed 2,054 patients on Wednesday compared to 1943 the day before and 1,745 a week earlier.

The number of hospitalizations continues to increase with 10,336 hospitalized Covid patients, including 1,036 in 24 hours. 

For nearly a month, the curve of hospitalizations linked to Covid has continued to rise.

In Guadeloupe and Martinique, the airlift continued on Wednesday to relieve the hospitals of the two islands where the epidemic is currently flaring.

Between Tuesday and Wednesday, 112 patients died in French hospitals.
