This task is very large, and the risk of soil pollution has been basically controlled, which has initially curbed the trend of increasing soil pollution.

  According to the Bulletin of the State of the Ecological Environment in China 2020, the results of a detailed survey of soil pollution indicate that the soil environmental conditions of agricultural lands across the country are generally stable, and the main pollutants affecting the soil environmental quality of agricultural lands are heavy metals, of which cadmium is the primary pollutant.

Complete the "Soil Pollution Prevention and Control Action Plan" to achieve the goal of achieving a safe utilization rate of contaminated arable land of about 90% and a safe utilization rate of contaminated plots of more than 90%.

By the end of 2020, 2,738 agricultural county-level units across the country have all completed the classification of cultivated land soil environment, more than 13,000 enterprises have been included in the list of key soil pollution supervision units, and 1,865 problematic cadmium-related pollution sources around cultivated land have been rectified.

In 2020, the safe utilization rate of contaminated arable land nationwide will reach about 90%, and the safe utilization rate of contaminated plots will reach over 93%, and the risk of soil pollution will be basically controlled.
