On August 17, local time, a Russian Il-112V light military transport test plane crashed in Kubinka, Moscow Region, killing all three people on board.

  Russian media quoted a statement from the Russian United Aviation Manufacturing Group Company that reported that the aircraft had an accident when it was about to land at Kubinka Airport. The engine on the right side caught fire and the fuselage rolled over and fell.

  The Russian National Technology Group, which belongs to the United Aviation Manufacturing Group Corporation of Russia, stated that a committee of relevant experts has been established to investigate the accident.

The cause of the accident is unclear.
